Eid Al-Fitr, Sweets – 2018

Eid Al-Fitr is the Islamic religious celebration that ends the Holy Month of Ramadan. It is celebrated all around the world, where people families visit, kids are given money, and Eid sweets are served to well-wishers and relatives. And like each year this post is about the sweets I prepared for Eid.

Eid Al-Fitr – 2018

Eid Al-Fitr “Smaller Eid”, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Today is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

Eid Mubarak to all of you and your families. May you have a joyful and blessed Eid with family and friends.

Khshaf Hamwi

Khshaf or Khushaf in middle east is a dried fruit and nut salad, an old fashioned dessert. But in Hama in Syria, Khshaf is a different dessert, Khshaf Hamwi is kind of milk pudding topped with syrup made of lemon juice, Sharab Tout Shami “mulberry syrup” and rose syrup, eaten in summer and very special in the holy month of Ramadan when it comes in summer.
